“if you're cooking a turkey please, please, PLEASE don't waste it. According to the Turkey Federation, 46 million turkeys are slaughtered for Thanksgiving. The BBC found that 200 million pounds of edible turkey is thrown away each year. Since the average turkey weighs 16lbs with some quick math that's the equivalent of 11 million turkeys being thrown away. So, eat what you want, but please be respectful and don't let the turkey go to waste.”
